STUDENT RECOGNITION

Research and Development Recognition

The STAR Conferences recognize outstanding scientific research and technical development (telescopes and instruments) by students. A STAR Conference Committee will invite selected students to share their work through a range of research and development presentations at the Friday evening plenary session.
If you are a high school, community college, or undergraduate student, and have completed a small telescope scientific research or technical development project and have a published paper or article describing your research or development, or have submitted such a paper or article for publication, and will be attending the STAR Conference, you may apply for a STAR R&D recognition by sending an email to either the Conference Co-Chair (russmgenet@aol.com) or the Committee Chair, Dr. Vera Wallen (jvwallen@charter.net). In your email, provide identifying information, a one paragraph summary of your research or development, and a paragraph about yourself. Please attach a copy of your published or submitted paper or article.
